Apple TV stuck on firmware 1.1 cannot update at all, can I use this patchstick? #469

1. Apple Tv fails to update from 1.1
2. Downloads file but then the version does not get installed
3. Please help need to update or jailbreak

The patchstick solution is only designed for 2.x firmware and above because it 
is 
the minimum FW required by most payloads. What do you mean by downloads file 
and 
then not installed? Are you confirming the Update in frontrow, perhaps you have 
disabled updates with a modification to your HOSTS file, check in /etc/hosts 
via SSH

Apple TV is simply stuck on firmware 1.1 and its not updating to a new 
firmware, .when I click update software 
the screen shows its getting downloaded and whne it does download and I click 
install after rebooting a couple 
of times it says the "update failed" I have tried this at least 50 times since 
I got it...is there any solution to update 
it or jailbreak it somehow. Any help will be appreciated.
