Hey Alex, any luck resolving? I have the same issue but checked ATVFiles and
Software menu sites on Awkwardtv with no success.

As a work around to get AppleTV working again, I updated my OS.dmg in the
recovery
partition to 3.0.1 and did a restore. Obviously i'd like to get ATVFiles working
correctly though. Cheers and Thanks, Steve

ATVFiles does not work under AppleTV OS 3.x, don't install it.

Hi Guys, Everything was working well for a couple of hours until I installed
atvfile, nito and rebooted, which
brought on the blank screen again. Interesting thing was that I was doing an
iTunes download in the background
and when the show was ready an announcement appeared on the screen, which
played (after pressing play.)
Pausing the show and going back to the menu brought on the blank screen again
from which there was no
escape. If what you say is correct, how do I replace the atvfiles version from
the patchstick with the version
mentioned above? Thanks for your expertise

We don't distribute atvfiles at all in the patchstick so there is no version to
upgrade from. SSH in and run these commands through Terminal/Putty:
