nitoTV is free. Install it via Software Menu or through SSH with this file:

Thanks for your info Sam. I presume, from your answer, that CouchSurfer is a
paid
app. I am not sure also ,where to ask this question, but if not the venue, pls
direct me to where I might ask. aTV Flash (paid app) must be a competitor to
your
great and free work that you guys do correct? If so, would I gather that your
group
is striving to add more functionality ie similar to aTV Flash to your patch?
After successfully applying patchstick, am
I able to connect a USB hard drive to USB port to get more local storage
available?

Hey,
We do have commercial competitors. Two infact. A limited version of Couch
Surfer can
be installed via NitoTV I do believe.
To connect a USB hdd you should install nitoTV > Smart Installer and the kext
loader. Alternatively install the kext loader manually and the kernel patch.

I download the minimalistic version and I followed the instructions (actually
only
partially): I transfered the file it to the AppleTV vis SFTP (cyberduck) and I
tried to put
in several places: library first, but I don't have such configuration, as
suggested in
the instructions: /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/PlugIns/
Then I tried to put it among the applications of nitoTV. After reboot I could
visualize
the couchsurfer application under nitoTv menu, but I cannot start it.
What to do now?
