No menu and no sound for startup movie

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Updated with patchstick. All worked well. Have Software Menu. Installed 
NitoTV 
2. Chose "Restart Finder"
3. ATV boots up but the startup movie has no sound. No ATV menu - just a black 
screen. 
Screensaver still works. ssh still works. No menus, no sound

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
There is no menu at all.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest update of ATV (3.?) Patchstick created 2 Mar 10.

Please provide any additional information below.

Did you install ATVFiles?

Yes! Thanks. Have done a factory reset and reinstalled patchstick. Will follow 
instructions to install ATVfiles. Much appreciated.
