no screen after loading software #540

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. create flash stick from atvusb-creator-1.0.b13 and boot apple-tv (3.x os)
with the stick to patch it
2. reboot apple-tv and go into the second menu from left (sorry, don't remember
the name) to download the .dmg files for xbmc, boxee, and the third one, don't
remember the name
3. Now, after the reboot, I don't have a display, but the apple-tv seems to be
functional (I can hear the apple tv sounds as it boots and hear the menu items
"click" as I use the remote, just no display.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I don't see anything on the screen after it boots. I do see the initial apple
logo and the "splash" screen, but no menu is displayed. I can hear sounds.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
atvusb-creator-1.0.b13 on apple tv 3.x

Please provide any additional information below.
Nothing else to offer. Sorry.

How can I remove the patches and start over, or how can I correct any mistake I
may have made and get the menu display back?

Also, the screen saver (photo slideshow) is working. After leaving the apple
tv to idle a few minutes, the slide show starts and I can see it. If I then
press the menu button on the remote, I get a blank screen again.
