Balck Screen after installing updates

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. updating 3rd party applications 
2. restarting Apple TV
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expected everything to run smoothly, however all i get is a black screen. 
After a while the screensaver is activated and if i press any button it goes 
back to the black screen. I can also hear the sound of the menu when i press 
any button as well. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I am currently using the atv-creator-1.0.b13 on a Apple TV that's on firmware 
3.0.2

ATV files causes this.  remove and you should be ok.

I have exactly the same problem now I am looking where is the ATV files, could 
you precise the names?

Sorry for being so stupid but I am connected by ssh on the appletv (with a 
black screen after installing updates) and I don't know which files I need to 
remove in order to have an apple tv fit and well.

After connecting by ssh on your apple tv: ssh frontrow@appletv.local

just type

sudo rm -rf 
/System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/PlugIns/ATVFiles.frappliance

the asked password is frontrow

after completing the command just reboot
