When I select "check for Updates" on ATV, it gives me an error occurred instead #588

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to Software Menu
2.  3rd Party
3. Select "Check for Updates"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect a progress bar & then the ability to install nitoTV.
Instead, it says "An error occured" Press
Play/Pause to restart your Apple TV."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
AppleTV:  3.0.2   atvusb:  atvusb-creator-1.0.b13.zip    

Please provide any additional information below.

i have version 1.0b2.1 .. and see the same problem .. i thought this will 
upgrade to latest version (1.0.b13) but seems I will have to factory reset and 
reinstall everything !!
is there any other way to just upgrade the atvusb without doing the full 
re-installation ?

Same issue here. 

I did a factory reset, and reinstalled the newest version from patchstick. But 
the problem persists.

Did 3 times reset en stil not working.

I did all of the above, posted the top comment here & got no answers, so just 
switched to atv Flash by Firecore.  Works perfectly.

Also, I recommend CYBERDUCK to transfer all your media to the atv.  Works 
flawlessly!
