SSH not working with Apple TV 1st Gen 3.0.2 #597

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Follow normal instructions

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
SSH of my apple tv on my mac

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using the most current atvusb- creator

Please provide any additional information below.
SSH is not working on my apple tv. I have tried with multiple programs and none 
are picking up the tv. I tried pinging the IP address and am recieving no 
responce. The error message I get when I type in 
ssh frontrow@appletv.local or ssh frontrow@<my_ip_address> is ssh: Could not 
resolve hostname appletv.local: nodename nor servname provided, or not known

Any help would be great! Thanks
