What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am on an original aTV and on 3.0.2
The patch I a on is 1.0b2.1
I want to upgrade the patch to the most recent version but failed to upgrade it
today.
I made a new patch stick and put it in the back, but failed to get it to boot
from the patch stick after five tries. I cannot upgrade anything from the
Software > update menu, because I get an error, so I thought I would try to
reapply the patch.
My primary question is:
Do I need to reset the aTV to factory restore before applying the patch?
Also, the end result of what I want to do is install Rowmote. Currently when I
try to download it in the tweaks menu, the progress bar starts, it gets to
about 15% and then squickly goes to %100 percent and nothing has changed (no
matter how many times I refresh). If there is a plist file I can change via
SSH to redirect the Romote installer to the right directory, then I will try
that as opposed to reinstalling everything and reapplying the patch, but a
reapplication of the patch may be simpler.
