Windows 3.0.2 #616

I went through tutorial using 3 thumbs (kingston 2 gig, sandisk micro cruzer 
4gb, and a PNY 1gb. )... I have done the windows steps and everything is ok 
until i run the DMG.  My mcafee virus scan keeps removing trojan injector.  Im 
assuming when this happens that the full image isnt written? 

Everytime i run on apple tv the code never comes up.   Is there anyone that 
address the following:

1. Firmware 3.0.2...  Which is the correct DMG to use???
2.  Should i inactivate virus scan while building file???
3.  Are any of these thumbdrives usuable???  The pny,kingston, or sandisk???
4.  What is a better practice:  unplugging atv before u put the thumb in, or 
pluggin thumb in and then "enter" and "-" reset???
