ssh clients transmit to ATV only sporadically #79

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install atv-usb-creator on ATV running 2.2
2. connect to atv via cyberduck/fugu
3. transmit larger files

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Tried to move various files. fugu will stall after about 160 MB and Cyberduck
only connects via
sftp

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
atvusb-creator-1.0.b7

Please provide any additional information below.

I'm having difficulties to transmit larger files from my Powerbook (OSX
10.4.11) to my AppleTV
(2.2). I created a flash drive using atvusb-creator-1.0.b7. XMBC runs
flawlessly and seemingly
ssh installed just fine. At least I can access ATV via terminal using
frontrow@10.0.1.3 .

But trouble starts with the ssh clients. Before my last factory restore I used
FUGU or Cyberduck
to transmit all the neccessary files. (Before the factory restore I enabled ssh
with a different
patchstick. FTP Protocoll worked smoothly with transmit speeds up to 1.7 MB/s)

But now Cyberduck won't connect to my ATV. It will connect via sftp though and
start
transmission of files for about 2 minutes. sftp is painfully slow though.

Fugu will connect via ftp giving me the full 1.7 MB/s but will terminate the
transmission after
about 160-200 MB.

Now, I have a hunch that maybe atvusb-creator isn't meant to be used with ssh
clients. Or is it
just me who hasn't got a clue what he's doing?

work in progress :)

atvusb-creator uses dropbear for ssh/scp/sftp. dropbear does not seem as robust
as openssh when using
external file transfer clients.

It will be addressed in the future once atvusb-creator for all three platforms
are in sync.

Until then, you might check the awkwardtv wiki/forums for installing ftp.
