coolRunnings: setup monitoring #32

setup monitoring to detect if coolRunnings is down. For now, let's email
spriteme@googlegroups.com. If the email is too much we can setup a new
group (spriteme-dev@googelgroups.com)?

a google app engine cron job seems perfect for this. Do you have any experience 
with
GAE? If not, I'll take a swing.

GAE might be good, but I googled "free uptime monitoring" and got some good 
leads. It
might be better than rolling-our-own. Want to try one? I know the guys at 
Pingdom so
might lean that way.

Pingdom is awesome. I googled but didn't find anything quite so nice.

Currently, I'm having some problems getting the pingdom status email sent to 
multiple
accounts. Emailed them about it. Should have this crossed off today.

Got pingdom notices working (test msg sent OK to spriteme group), but I'm not 
sure
how to close this issue.
