• [x] Revise Experiment Plan to implement changes discussed at meeting

• [x] Run experiments on larger scale

  • Use best organism from wild types to create clonal starting populations
  • Group experiments by seed (5 different seeds)
  • For the population size, use some larger multiple of the previous 32 x 32 world (roughly 10,000 organisms)
  • Run for 100,000 generations to start and if this doesn't take too long (<= approx. 2 days), enlarge
  • [x] Group 1 - Mutation Rates
    • Use parameter settings from paper "How To Reduce a Genome"
  • [x] Group 2 - Population Size
    • Multiply by some factor of 2 (e.g. 4, 8, etc.)
  • [x] Group 3 - Selection Pressure
    • Increase or decrease by 1/10th

• [x] Continue to gain familiarity with Pandas and Python

  • [x] Python - Python.org tutorial
  • [x] Pandas - Complete tutorial for ecologists on Data Carpentry
