They probably cannot be used as they don't have the other announcements. Example: "Welcome aboard this Chiltern Railways service to", "Calling at", "The next station is".

Well the Bombardier Xstar tab got some Chiltern Railways announcements (for some reason, e.g. Bicester North), so I want to see if those will be added as well. And for the "Welcome aboard this Chiltern Railways service to" part I also have that, but that depends on if davwheat wanna add them (and if it is the case I will put them on, can't be bothered to upload it now)

Sure, why not

Do you have the "The next station is". For approaching stations.

Currently no since I forgot to do so. Might go to Birmingham and record it next week

So I went on 165008 just now and recorded them. I do have recorded a "Thank you for travelling with Chiltern Railways" announcement, but when I am recording it just now it cuts off after "and look forward to you", and considering I have to pay £20 to try get on a Chiltern Railways service in Birmingham, I think I am not going to do that unless we really want to make it. the next station is.zip

Still need to implement choosing Chiltern as a TOC.

LX9702 commented 3 months ago

By the way, can we also submit announcements from other TOCs that also uses Turbostar / Electrostar and Julie Berry as the announcer? (And of course, only limited to announcements relative to Turbostar / Electrostar fleet)

davwheat commented 3 months ago

Yeah, of course. Just stick them in here.

LX9702 commented 3 months ago

I will do so later. Currently I am doing some investigations with ScotRail's announcements.

Note 1: All announcements that may conflict with the existing one are marked with "_WMR" suffix. Note 2: I am aware of the "Please mind the gap when leaving the train, and step onto the platform before removing heavy luggage and pushchairs." is a bit broken so a version recorded in a Class 350 is also provided in case we feel that the Desiro version is better

:)

And I am thinking of if I should also record EMR's announcements (Crewe <> Newark Castle) but Class 170/171's announcement systems are quite broken sometimes like this
