after toying around with trying to get the module to work in version 1.8 and the folders pathing correctly I noticed that Daz writes the FBX file out as B_ENV but then on the Maya d2m.py on line 2380 it wants to load B_FIG. Changing the line to B_ENV gets the import working.
I couldn't figure out whether the default write name comes from the script or from variable defined by Daz Studio.
