Genesis 9 to UE5.4 retargeting animations not working correctly #88

Open epicstar7 opened 3 months ago

epicstar7 commented 3 months ago

After importing Genesis 9 model to UE5.4 I get error:

The following bones are missing from the bind pose:
ik_foot_root
ik_foot_l
ik_foot_r
ik_hand_root
ik_hand_gun
ik_hand_r
ik_hand_l

This can happen for bones that are not vert weighted. If they are not in the correct orientation after importing,
please set the "Use T0 as ref pose" option or add them to the bind pose and reimport the skeletal mesh.

The skeleton looks fine, but after trying to retarget animations the position of the DAZ model is not correct and the animation looks weird, example:

Anything to fix this?

I figured it out, you have to add engine content into your content browser. go to daz to unreal content>G9 Retargeter. Match the size and transform from the unreal character (make sure they are in the same space and roughly same size). Set Default pose to 0. Then Auto align all bones.
