Seems to be a contest for start-ups or start-ups about to be created, namely that there will be a presentation to do between September and April ...
So I sent an email to them asking what may happen if we are not a start-up, can we still apply ?
I'll keep you in touch !

After exchanging a few emails with the head of the organization of the "presse-citron" contest and presenting him our project while making him aware of our desire to limit the dissemination of information as part of our communication strategy, he let me know that he was actually interested in our product and the moment we will be ready to make communication about our app, we should get back to him so he can plan when and if he is able allow us to present it.
I reminds you that the principle of the contest is to present four projects per month between September and April with a different theme each month, it would be good to notify him in a short delay, I think, that we want to start communicating about our tool ... (note that he assured me that our project does not fit into the theme of September, so we have time to get our v2 done before any presentation on this contest).
Do you know what are the themes and in which one we can fit?
We still don't know the deadline for the version 2, but it might be around the end of august and the middle of september.
I don't know the themes, on the website they give some examples : "cloud, games, collaborative consumption" The only info he gave me about the themes is "you do not fit in the theme of September". I guess he will put us in the appropriate theme himself if our project is selected to compete ... and it will probably be something like "games" or "social networks" :)
Do you want me to ask a bit more about the themes and which one we may compete in ? (if he didn't give me more info in first stance i think that it's for a good reason ...)

No, that's fine. Hopefully we'll have the 2nd version ready when they will contact us.
So, that's it? You did everything for us to be in the contest? We don't have to send more information?
As I previously said, I have to send him a new message to tell him that we are ready to give all the possible informations about our project, including it's final name, a showcase website, eventually our short movie used as advertisement, probably explain in details some fonctionalities included inside it and stuff like that i guess ...
It's a bit hard to say because it's very informal to apply for the contest (I invite you to check the comments at the bottom of the page that you linked, where all the people can talk about their start-up or anybody start-up to be able to "compete" : http://www.presse-citron.net/quelles-sont-les-start-ups-francaises-prometteuses )
I checked myself and looks like anyone can ask to compete based on very short description of their activity with adding a link to the website of their company. I guess that in the end, the head of the contest will just pick-up the 4 best candidates for each of his 8 themes based on all the info he could have gathered ...
So once again, it's way too informal to say how the things are precisely going on here.
All I know is that he said he is very interested by our project which looks like "OneFeat", and that he would like to know more about it as soon as we are okay to release more informations to be able to EVENTUALLY put us in the 4 of the theme related to our project.

OK. The best thing we can do, in my opinion, is to send them:

Well yeah i though there was going to be an update of the showcase website (Do you want me to work on this ?)
I don't know if we shall talk about the business plan, after checking all the other speaches, nobody never talked about it and this contest seems to be less about the business strategy than anything else =S
The overview of who we are is still displayed on the showcase website so i doubt i need to write anything about this.
When u say "when we are and where we are going" you talk about our application right ?
Ow and I forgot to tell you something ! The guy said that if we want to meet the guys who had the idea of OneFeat, he can try to organize a meeting with them since he knows their team well. Could it be interesting for us to ask questions about how their product is evolving and what challenges they had to face when they released it ?

Sure, you can update it. I'll open an other issue about this.
Ok, then skip the part about the business plan. I bet they're not going to read the entire team page, so a quick overview of the roles might help and add seriousness to our application.
Yep. All the info are on the F.A.Q. page. But don't be as negative as I am, though.
That's awesome! I'd love to get the chance to meet them.

UP
I sent the head of the contest a mail some weeks ago asking him if he still has some interest about our project, if he could give us more info about the theme we could fit in and the month that correspond. So far no answer, shall I recontact him ?
Have our plans changed or shall I still wait the v2 to give him more info about our project ?
