When entering an encounter – GPS coord only plot after saved (is it able to 'zoom to' once entered?) and once saved, the location is not updated on the polygon map. Therefore its difficult to find the location and then draw a polygon
The maps are not linked in the form. However, TSC auto-generates a centroid to set as "point" if only a polygon is given.
For docs:
The workflows are:
Have lon/lat coordinates: Draw any point on map > generates GeoJSON > replace coordinates.
Have polygon: Export from GIS as GeoJSON, paste into GeoJSON field.
Have idea of location: draw on map using fullscreen button, geocoder (place name search), reference layers.
Use app: import automated.
In general, enter data, save, review, update several times if necessary until record (new) represents data sheet (attached as scanned PDF) faithfully. User then should be able to press "submit" button (new > proofread = ready for data custodians to review and accept).
For devs:
[ ] Link polygon map widget (if empty) to point map widget (on change).
[ ] Link point map widget (if empty) to polygon map widget (on change).
[ ] Provide status transition from new ("draft") to "proofread" (=submit) and "require proofreading" (=reset to draft) in GUI.
