batch re-number of area code when a population is re-numbered e.g Pop 2 becomes 1B and all occurrences (forms) need to be transferred to the new area code

This is Jess’ issue but she was showing me how to get wastd….

I’m happy to use this as a way to highlight issues/actions found during testing.

The workflow could look like this:

On the Taxon detail page, e.g. https://tsc.dbca.wa.gov.au/species/20162/ > Occurrences > Population card, e.g. Pop 4 has a little "edit" pencil next to the "4":

Rename populations > opens form to enter new pop name = area code / area name.

Doing so would rename every TaxonAreaEncounter = Species Occurrence to the new area code / name.

In bulk: Renaming populations or changing taxon is a "bulk update" of area code (population number) or taxon:

Add button to TSC taxon detail page > occurences: open all occurences (of given taxon) in data curation portal (admin).
Filter occurrences to area code: search box "area code"
select all occurrences of given area code
bottom menu: bulk update, go
update respective fields, save
