Expected more new surprises, especially the complete database backup or export !

kseniiaguzeeva commented 3 years ago

Thank you for interesting in CloudBeaver. We are going to implement it, but while I don't know the estimated time.

syberkitten commented 2 years ago

Hi

We really need this feature to be able to export a whole DB (dump). Right now it's possible to export only single tables.

This is a must feature to move to cloudbeaver as opposed to phpMyAdmin.

Thanks

kseniiaguzeeva commented 2 years ago

Thank you for voting. We are going to implement the feature after 22.2.0 release.

+1

andreagualandi commented 2 years ago

Will there also be an import function?

kseniiaguzeeva commented 2 years ago

@andreagualandi Script import is already implemented. You can use the Resource Manager or load scripts from your machine. Do you ask about it?

andreagualandi commented 2 years ago

Once the database export has been implemented, I expect a new item "export" in the context menu (image below) cloud_export

What I'm asking for is if there will also be an "import" menu item (image below) cloud_import

kseniiaguzeeva commented 2 years ago

The export for tables is available only. We don't yet know the exact milestone for implementing the database backup and restore feature.

andreagualandi commented 2 years ago

Ok, thanks for clearing that up

dionathanchrys commented 2 years ago

Hi! Do you have an ideia when will be implemented data base backup and restore feature (DUMP)?

kseniaguzeeva commented 2 years ago

Unfortunately we will not implement this feature untill the end of this year. The UI is quite composite for it. It's better to use DBeaver for now.

fernandogobah commented 1 year ago

any news?

Any news on this? It looks like this feature keeps getting pushed out more and more.

dionathanchrys commented 1 year ago

i'm waiting for this feature too

Corban-Lee commented 12 months ago

Hi, is this feature being worked on or at least will be down the line?

I can't put any confidence into cloudbeaver for managing my databases when there is no backup feature, and have to use alternatives like phpMyAdmin.

EvgeniaBzzz commented 12 months ago

Hi guys! Thank you for your patience and interest in CloudBeaver. We're not ruling out adding this feature, but we are not ready to implement it yet.

chen-jie commented 11 months ago

Waiting for this feature for a long time

Bwored commented 9 months ago

I understand that this is a very daunting feature and can be substituted with direct db connection is DBeaver, but it would really save a lot of time to not have to do that. I really wish this gets prioritized more.

VincentHermes commented 4 months ago

I have multiple Customers that want to use Cloudbeaver as soon as it can Export and Import Databases :) We do Kubernetes Services and that would be awesome.

SMTALENTUM commented 3 months ago

I am implementing the tool, however not being able to dump the database becomes a limitation, I hope we can have this feature in the short term.

+1 Our team is really waiting for this feature p.s. Thanks for such a great tool! :D
