Save display space or appeal to your own sense of minimalism by hiding Safari's native status bar, and using the Invisible Status Bar instead. Only shows up when you hover over a link, i.e. when you need a status bar.

Zooming stops status bar displaying #5

I'm perplexed - if you zoom in on a page (i.e. using Lion's double-tap-to-zoom feature), Invisible Status Bar no longer displays the status bar. There's no error thrown in the console, though. It does work fine if you zoom using Cmd-+, though. Any idea why this might be?

It does show it, but it’s zoomed just like the rest of the page (try zooming to the bottom corner and then scrolling). I’ll have to see if I can make it pin to the actual corner of the window regardless of zoom.
