Disable tones when moving the cursor #2

Hi! Thanks for keeping to maintain this add-on.

Since version 24.05, when moving the cursor over some editable field, the tones sound all the time. I understand the usefulness of this, but I'd like to be able to disable it. Most of the time I don't need it and it's a bit annoying.

Do you think you can do this?

For now, I'm still using version 2024.04.2.

The release that will follow, I hope soon, will have the settings panel. The feature you request is planned, but I wasn't planning to include it in this release. Now I saw this issue, I will try to include it. There is already a settings file in new versions, where you can disable the caret tracking by changing the field manually, although it may affect navigation reporting in other places. So, if you want to try new releases, go on and play with the settings file.
