Navbar user menu and hamburger not responding after update to Moodle 3.8 Fordson v3.8 release 1.1 (2019111900) #96

After updating to the latest version of Fordon, the user menu on the far right of the navbar and also the hamburger icon on the far left no longer repsond to mouse clicks.

Occurs with Moodle 3.8 (Build: 20191118) and 3.8+ (last week's release)
Purging caches does not fix the problem

Actually none of the navbar dropdowns (My Courses, Language selector) seem to work

OK may not be a Fordson issue. Same issue with the Boost theme.
