Template Toolkit is a powerful and well established template engine but have these issues:
filters for HTML-safe output need to be applied manually like [% var | html %] and can be easily forgotten—Mojo::Template is safer: you need to add a flag to force literal output
TT doesn't warn or even fail when inexistent variables or variables with undef are printed
TT has a STRICT mode but that isn't very helpful. See abw/Template2#75
