Test Cases

Let's add some extreme sanity-checking test cases.

For wind:

• Wind from 90 degrees should increase windage (towards positive values).
• From 270 degrees should reduce windage (towards negative values).
• From 0 should reduce drop at any point relative to zero wind.
• From 180 should increase drop.

For spin drift:

• No twist with no wind should produce zero windage at all ranges
• Positive twist should produce positive windage
• Tighter twist (smaller twist rate value) should produce larger windage values at all ranges
• Negative twist should produce negative windage

For cant:

• Cant of 90 degrees with zero barrel elevation should cause drop += sight_height, windage -= sight_height.
• Cant of 90 degrees with positive barrel elevation (and zero twist, so no spin drift) should produce:
  • drop same as cant of 90 degrees with zero barrel elevation
  • windage = sight_height at muzzle, then increasingly positive windage down-range.

More tests:

For Atmo:

• Humidity=90% decreases drop (decreases air density vs default 0% relative humidity)
• Temp=freezing increases drop
• Altitude++ decreases drop
• Pressure-- decreases drop

For Ammo:

• DragModel.BC++ decreases drop
• With Set.USE_POWDER_SENSITIVITY = True: Temperature-- reduces muzzle velocity; increases drop
