If we search using location.name for düs:

http://open-api.bahn.de/bin/rest.exe/location.name?input=d%C3%BCs&authKey=<KEY>&format=json

We get:

Why Donaueschingen? Why Düren? Etc. Some kind of Soundex algorithm?
