Mother 3 will not load save files.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load up Mother 3 in VBA.
2. Choose "LOAD" from the menu, or save your game at a save frog.
3. Hit A on a save slot.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is that the game loads my save file, and I'm away
laughing. 

The end result is that the game drops me back to the title screen. Every.
Single. Time.

Does this issue occur on VBA-M r781

If so, please report the issue to the VBA-M forum.
It does not. I have played Mother 3 to completion on VBA-M.

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?
