License questions #17

1. License contains a reference to grnxx: "grnxx - An open-source fulltext
search engine and column store." Is this intentional?

2. BSD part contain "<ORGANIZATION>" placeholder which should be probably
replaced with some organization name.

3. Is it OK that I'm referring to you personally and to marisa-trie C++ library
in a wrapper README (https://github.com/kmike/marisa-trie)? License says that
"Neither the name of the <ORGANIZATION> nor the names of its contributors may
be used to endorse or promote products derived from this software without
specific prior written permission."

link to README becomes broken above; proper link:
https://github.com/kmike/marisa-trie/blob/master/README.rst

1. Sorry, it's due to a mistake. I'll fix it soon.

2. There are no organization to replace the placeholder because I was
unemployed when I developed marisa-trie. So, I left it as it is.

3. No problem. Thank you. Do you think the BSD 2-clause license is better than
the 3-clause one? The 2-clause license does not contain the sentence "Neither
the name of ..."

2. "In all BSD licences as <organization> is the organization of the <copyright
holder> or just the <copyright holder>" - so it should be fine to just use a
name instead of organization;

3. I like 2-clause BSD (or a very similar MIT license) more because of its
simplicity - it is not always clear what "endorse or promote" means in 3-clause
BSD license; but of course you can use any license for this wonderful piece of
software. Thanks for the clarification.

marisa-trie is now dual-licensed under the BSD *2-clause* license and the LGPL
(2.1 or any later version).

Thanks!
