The content for the public preview Semantic Layer partner integration guides will live in between the ‘Deploys in Production’ and ‘dbt versions’ space in the new [Information Architecture format].

Exit criteria overall

1. dbt Core users can define metrics in their projects (per structuring metrics guide),
2. dbt Cloud customers can set up the Semantic Layer for their environment and their tools (links to integration partner guides), and
3. partners (developers) can easily integrate with the Semantic Layer (including metadata API)

Goal: having source-of-truth documentation will help us drive adoption of the Semantic Layer and the useful integrations through which customers arrive at value.

• Currently, we're very hands-on for these things, but meetings won't scale... as we know what information users/customers/partners need, we can coalesce it into docs so we're set post-launch.
• This is also a chance to prototype an idea for an 'integration portal' to guide users to downstream use cases for the Semantic Layer.
