Clarify enterprise permissions #2795

Oauth project: https://www.notion.so/dbtlabs/Authentication-Universal-login-e7201dae702345b7add6292fec5e18dc?pvs=4

Contributions

  1. Users have asked various customer-facing departments what the account level groups Everyone, Owner, and Member mean, what permissions they have, whether can they be modified, etc. To address this and ensure users can answer this question themselves, we should clarify these groups on our docs site.

See slack thread for more discussion around this.

We can maybe have a diagram too visualizing this.

  1. In the project permissions tables, clarify what 'Permissions' and 'Profile' means for Team Admin and Database admin in the context of how it maps to the dbt Cloud UI. Confirmed by Brian:

    hey
    [@Brian Jan](https://dbt-labs.slack.com/team/U02BLTJ3P7S)
thanks so much for that explanation! i’m trying to understand how they map to the dbt cloud ui, so for:

P- ermissions — you mean modify project permissions for users in the ‘groups/licenses’ dbt loud page??

we should clarify number 2 above in the enterprise permissions document.

What part(s) of the page would you like to see updated?

Adding add'l feedback to this as this has come up again and explaining these groups and its relation to other roles will save users and our field eng team loads of time.

Feedback from @wusanny ✨ :

"i'd like to know the permissions for Everyone, Member, Owner, and how they interact with the roles. This is helpful for users.

and if possible, include images/short gif on how the permissions map on the dbt Cloud UI (same as what you were asking Brian in the other channel)"

Taylor Dunlap from our internal team also raised clarification on the specifics of each project/account-level permission set, what it means, and how it relates to the dbt cloud UI:

do we have any more detailed documentation on the specifics of each "project-level or account-level permissions" on our Enterprise Permissions page? I've had a number of customers ask about the specifics. For example, today I was asked... "What does "Credentials" mean?"
