Hey! I have fixed the peer dependencies problem, which occurs by grunt versions >= 1.0.0. Without this fix, you cannot use this plugin in new projects.

Still an issue. Why hasn't this PR been merged?

Nothing has been merged in this repo for over two years (see https://github.com/dbushell/grunt-svg2png/commits/master), sadly. I've been maintaining https://github.com/jdforrester/grunt-svg2png for a while (pointing at it in GitHub rather than through npm) but at some point we need a more sustainable fix.
