Fixed two issues that were preventing the page from working in IE10. #91

With these two commits, the map now works in IE10 on my machine which takes care of #82 at least until we have additional details from WABA on what browsers they see on their site on a regular basis.

Thanks @alongthepike! Can confirm that this got the map working in IE10 when testing via BrowserStack.
