emacs selection is invisible #193

I selected 2 lines, but the selection is invisible:

I'm not sure when this started.

The emacs I'm using from guix today doesn't have this problem.

$ ls -l $(type -p emacs)
lrwxrwxrwx 4 root root 64 Dec 31  1969 /home/connolly/.guix-profile/bin/emacs -> /gnu/store/5z3gyg96f7l4zl1j2h1jvgj4p46r6yfd-emacs-29.3/bin/emacs
