I successfully replicated the results of the project TrentoTreeMap but now I'm stuck with a issue regarding the crown size

lucamac99 commented 1 year ago

If we want to replicate the exact same model of the Trento project we need also to evaluate the crown size of the trees (is also recommended in i-Tree Eco). The number of unique values for the species name is 315 that can be reduced to 114 if we consider just the "macro species" (example 'Gleditschia triacanthos' -> 'Gleditschia'). Online I didn't find much regarding the calculation of the crown size starting from trees species, age and height, or at least for so many values, so I'm not sure now which is the best way to go forward.
