Image Editing Collaboration #11

Presumably certain image editing software that is extendible with plugins
could benefit from Waves?

If all users in an image editing wave were running Photoshop at the same
time, a plugin could synchronise a layered image. Any subsequent edit
operation on the image could be encoded in a wavelet delta and real-time
updated on all other clients.

Does Wave support functionality where the wavelets are used to store binary
data as opposed to text/simple media? Could the Wave client be improved to
avoid displaying binary data wavelets? Perhaps this could be achieved by
the root wavelet being a text meta-data about the image, and hidden child
wavelets containing the image data?

I agree with having waves/wavelets capable of containing binary data, and
knowing not
to display it. Not sure - personally - of the value of collaborative image
editing (or
if it could be accomplished using a gadget).
