Feature Request: Extensions should be able to create the same popup that the "New Extension Installer" does. #774

Currently, only the "New Extension Installer" extension can create these 
popups (the same ones used by "add gadget by url"). It uses the method 
<insertExtensionInstaller/>. This can only do extension installers. Could we 
please have an addition to the extension installer syntax allowing us to 
create similar style popups? That would be great.
