The API files aren't really managed by this project. They are provided by the Sphinx Search project. See here for the latest API files: http://code.google.com/p/sphinxsearch/source/browse/#svn%2Fbranches%2Frel20%2Fapi

I my fork I've added a later version, though not the latest. See it here: https://github.com/PhilKershaw/django-sphinxsearch
