Talk Request

Topic(s):

Additional Notes: Tech Talk DC is looking to host a World Cafe on accessibility technologies. This would run similar to a poster session or a science fair, with multiple stations on different tech or issues within the world of accessibility. Each station would have a short demonstration or presentation that would be given informally to folks wandering around.

What would the ideal length be?

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to submit a talk! Speakers like you make the DC tech community awesome — and we’re glad you’re here.

Rest assured that organizers of quite a few meetups have just been notified of your proposal.

Want to target one or two groups specifically? Mention the group by tagging @dctech/[group] — but please avoid tagging groups at random or tagging more than one or two. Thanks for keeping this group productive and spam-free!

Not interested in giving this talk anymore? Not a problem at all! Thanks for considering it in the first place! Go ahead and close this issue, so we know not to bother you about it.

Yay! I love that people are starting to use this for requests. If the request template continues to get some use, I'll want to spend some time adjusting a Probot implementation to look at labels before auto-responding, so that we can either not auto-respond at all to request labels, or have a much shorter response, relevant to requests.

I haven't been able to find any Probot implementation that let you conditionally respond to labels; may have to call GitHub's API for that issue

I would happily do a lightning talk about storybook and the accessibility plug-in based on a real world project I was the tech lead for probably 10 to 15 minutes
