show file extensions in GUI fig and table download popups #435

"Here and elsewhere, when we select the Download buttons, pop-ups appear containing a file name but not a file extension meaning that the user has to manually enter a file extension. It was clear from the user guide that the tables should be .csv files and we (apparently correctly) guessed that the figures would be .png files."

This is a good point.

what OS and browser are being used here? the download buttons shouldn't be creating that kind of a dialog for folks.

I don't know. I haven't seen anything like that on the Windows machines I've used for this and the several different browsers. Maybe it's a Mac thing? Or some custom settings in the browser? In any case, I don't think we need to spend too much time thinking about this one.
