Deep Sea Fishing Icon #152

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Hi Guys -

I just found these icons and they are fantastic!! I was hoping to find a deep
sea fishing icon. The only fishing one I saw was one with a guy standing
there with a pole. Any chance you could make one of a big fishing boat like
the kind they use for big game fishing like marlin or dorado?

Thanks! Dave.

Hello Dave,
You are welcome.

Well, fishing boat is hard, I don't think I can draw a fishing net but maybe
just
fishes and a boat.
In which category does it fill the best ?
I think it's under Industry, in blue color. Please confirm :)

Great job, not easy to have a boat, a net and a fish 32px wide !

I'm not sure Dave was meaning industrial fishing... I think he was talking about
sport fishing. Anyway the industrial fishing icon is great.

What I was thinking was a view looking at the back of the boat from a 45 rod
coming out
the back. Having the tower on the boat would show it well. Couple of pics
attached to
get those creative juices flowing :-)

Imo what you ask is not suitable for an icon... Icons must simplify.

I think it's a very good icon Milherou! The big tuna fish is generally
recognized as
a symbol for deep sea fishing. You now find the symbol included in the project
[here
http://code.google.com/p/google-maps-icons/wiki/SportsIcons?ts=1264371688&update
d=SportsIcons#Water_Sports9].
Keep up the great work!

ps. I took some liberties in modifying the icon, but you are still credited for
it.
Among others I removed some transparent pixels and divided all the other
transparent
pixels to only 2 types, one 128 and the other 188. I also made the line
thinner.
Hope you approve?

Regards,

Matthias

Thx Matthias, of course I approve. But it is not tuna, it is a swordfish :)

Matthias, your effort doesn't have a standard red. Could you please try again ?
:)
Or please share your PSD of this design.
