Icon to point an Expert of a particular field #86

Dear Friend,

Can we get an icon to point an expert ....

I am working on a research project where I require an icon to point the 

expert on the map.

Hello Kalyan,

Ouch, it's hard to design an expert. My idea was using a gear to mean 
expertize...
I came up with the icon attached below.

What do you think ?

you can try some thing like expertise icon for Agriculture Expert,Computer 
Expert,
Designer Expert and so on...I feel It counts..

I think it's a very good idea, but...  Let me think a little about it, maybe a 
star
or a light bowl as a background instead of a gear?  I don't know how the gear is
going to associate with expert?

Light bowl, and even a gear means more like an engineer than an expert. Or is 
it the
same for you ?

First, I was thinking in using glasses, but it's closer to a professor...

Dunno what to do for this one :(

Don't you think the School icon we made
http://google-maps-icons.googlecode.com/files/school.png can be an expert icon ?

We could redo the school icon with something like "1+2=3".

Well, no, I don't think the school one is a better icon for Expert.  I think 
you 
original idea is very good, but I don't think the gear background is good. I 
belive 
a lightbowl would make it better, even perfect.

I also belive the school icon should be changed since it's hard to understand 
what 
it is. Your 1+2=3 idea sounds good.  How about the University icon with 1+2=3 
below 
it?

With lack of feedback, I accept my last expert icon and put it live :
