Clustering icon #91

Nico,

still doing great work. Because of your remark I made on my website
clustering of Icons (there were a lot of icons in the same area). I chose a
cloud as clustering icon. Would it be possible to make a clustering icon in
the style of google-map-icons? I know I can your cloud-icon but it isn't
the right one.

Maybe you could make some icons overlapping, maybe 3 in a row?

Herald,

I see your point, I'll be needing something similar for my sites, but as far as
I
know, Nico might correct me, there is no way for us to do this. If we would
make all
the combinations possible we would have to make hundred of thousands of icons,
that
is no exaggeration.

Matthias,

I understand. But for me one will do. Maybe one icon with all the colors in it,
but
maybe Nico can make a proposal. If it is not possible, no offense, I will keep
my
cloud icon.

Hello Herald,

It's possible to do one icon for a cluster. There are some possibilities for
the design.
What about my try on a clustering icon ? attached :

Matthias, do you think it's standard design in the context of our project ?

I think it's used when there are lots of places in a very tight space (like a
mall).

When using the "clustering icon", user knows he will find various places, from
different categories.

Thats what I understood :)

Guys,

you can look at my site:
http://www.hongaarskinderplezier.eu/kaart/zoeken_via_google_en.php.

If you check CLUSTERING at the top you see what clustering is. The cloud is now
my
clustering icon. I use for clustering Clustermarker.

Nico,

It's very colorful. But is it conform your standard?

Thank you! OK, now I understand. No, Nico, I'm sorry but I don't like the
clustering
icon you made. I can see how you are thinking but it is absolutely to colorful,
this
is not our "style"... We are minimalists! ;-) //Matthias

I just requested a magnifying glass icon which I'll be using for clustering
(since
users can click on it to zoom in and see individual markers). Maybe that'll
work for
others too...

I think too :)

But for the color, I am still uncertain. I don't remember why I used the gray
color
:) but now, I would to it in brown, because it's kinda "Misc".

Well, I close the case.

Clustering icon is done under Misc :
