Fix issue #154 #159

Fixes issue #154. Second commit fixes whitespace.

This probably needs a second eye. It appears that respawning drops the users from half the height of logging in.

Hmm, I have no trouble respawning on the latest version, without your PR.

Was able to reproduce after some changes, so I'll merge this in.
