HelveticaNeue.ttc Font Issue

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Build your image using InstaDMG. 
Note: I am not sure if the update process causes it or if the base image 
process causes it. I will test further and report back.

What is the expected output? 
The HelveticaNeue.ttc fonts should NOT be installed as a System Font, and 
ProtectedFont. I tested with a fresh install without using InstaDMG and 
confirmed it isn't there.

What do you see instead?
After InstaDMG builds the mac dmg, the HelveticaNeue.ttc font ends up in 2 
locations where it should'nt.
- 
/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/A
TS.framework/Versions/A/Resources/ProtectedFonts
- /System/Library/Fonts

What version of InstaDMG are you running? What revision number (this should
be the second line of your package log)?
I have confirmed the following revisions to have the bug :
1.6rc1, svn 309, svn 389

What OS are you running on (booted from)?
10.6.4

What OS are you installing?
10.6.4

I can confirm this is an issue.  I have the same problem using a 10.6.4 build 
machine building a 10.6.4 image using Rev388 and 389.

I am seeing this font on a number of systems that have regular installs on 
them, and pkgutil is telling me that it gets installed by 
com.apple.pkg.BaseSystem (in /System/Library/Fonts), and 
com.apple.pkg.Essentials (ATS.framework). So I am closing this issue as a 
non-bug. This is exactly how MacOS X should look, and InstaDMG  is performing 
exactly as expected.

You are going to have to be a lot more specific about why you think this is a 
problem. And where exactly do you think it is coming from. I have a feeling 
that you have an installer disc that does not include these fonts for some 
reason, and it might be worth filing a Radar with Apple about it.

Just spoke to another admin, he tested building his base image using the 
vanilla 10.6 catalog without any additional packages and the problem occurred.

Note: this is a problem with the 10.6.4 updater, in concert with a problem with 
the installer. This is a problem that I don't think that InstaDMG can overcome 
in a reasonable way.
