Can you provide an illustration of what you are looking for. It can be as crude as you want, just try to make it understandable. I have an idea of what you mean, but I want to confirm.
ok, i will try.. not sure best way to do it.. so ill just draw it
So are you trying to determine which characters share an account or which characters are alts of another character?
so i guess both things would be ideal.. having account associated with say a main account as well as having alts just being under a main in its account too.. i guess that would help
ok, so the wording is awkward.. lets say i have 3 accounts, i have 1 Primary account main character i use on Teamspeak, then i have 2 alts on that account too and then i have a second and third account...
i.e. Primary Account MAIN --- ¬¬¬¬ Prim 1st ALT ¬¬¬¬ Prim 2nd ALT ¬¬¬¬ Secondary Account MAIN --- ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ Sec 1st ALT ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ Sec 2nd ALT ¬¬¬¬ Tertiary Account MAIN --- ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ Ter 1st ALT ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ Ter 2nd ALT
ok, sorry about the url, it didnt work for some reason, anywya.. i hope i have managed to describe it
It would be a major improvement if it was grouped by main character. Also giving access groups permission to the group in a single grant rather than having the user have to switch between every alt and grant them individually. If that makes sense. Maybe as an option?
I think the problem with the way esi works now Tyr is that You actually have to provide scopes to each individual and they also need to sso individually too.. the actual problem is the way sso handles existing logins, it doesnt default to the login screen, it seems to remember the previous login and you have to actually cancel it to change alt, this of course is time consuming,, if there is a way to combine the sso to more than one charcter auth then that would nice for sure
They provide the scopes access when adding the main + alts. The access groups doesn't need them to re-login any characters. I agree that the Cancel button on the bottom of CCP's ESI scope page is horrible design.
I want to send a new recruit the Group Access link from ESIKnife and get access to all the characters at once. And have characters shown as a nested group under the main account. So we're somewhat on the same page here (hence why I didn't make a new Feature Request).
Due to limitations with the Bootstrap CSS framework, I can't exactly group them like the screenshot demos. Instead I will group them by the main, and separate them out so that the separation is more distinguishable. I think this will work. Keep an eye out for more updates on this.
Also, it is worth noting that due to ESI not returning any account related information, I can't tell if they login with another account when attaching an alt to a main. So if the list format that @Wizbit1977 displayed is not possible. What will likely end up happening is the following
Characters You are Authorized to Access
Char Alpha [Main] Char Bravo [Alt] [Separation Line]
Char Delta [Main] Char Echo [Alt] Char Foxtrot [Alt] Char Golf [Alt] [Insert Line]
Hi, would love to see the ability to group characters under a character and create groups for them aswell. mainly in the authorised section. this would help us recruiters to tie alts to the same mains in game so as to help recognise mutliboxing members. also it would enable us to see what their affiliations are if it was possible to make a comparison tool in future.
