I learned through Tony that MN has an application that is fairly widely used by lenders and farmers. It does not do anything close to what we do as it relates to integrating all the pieces, real time updates, etc. It does have one feature that is liked by the farmers and their lenders. It has a monthly cash flow for the farm that shows how cash comes in and cash goes out the door to help the bank and farmer think about and manage their line of credit. This is something that we could do conceptually pretty easily (although I fully understand that nothing is trivial in the actual coding). It would be particularly valuable if the user could cross crop years. The farmer is selling and generating cash on last year's grain while paying expenses for the new crop year's inputs. That cross-year complexity would be a fun challenge. Or perhaps it is left to allowing the farmer to download a CSV for each year's monthly cash in and out and they could add them together to see the full picture. Nothing to do now but wanted to put a placeholder out there for future consideration.
