.RM V6 Support #255

Open feurer98 opened 1 year ago

feurer98 commented 1 year ago

I tested again today with rmfakecloud and looked at the files.

The file version has changed since version 3 to version 6. After researching, I found the following examples that can coventrate version v6 to pdf. Currently I have looked at the new ui #188 and have not read any comment that v6 is supported.

source: https://www.reddit.com/r/RemarkableTablet/comments/10bbteg/support_for_remarkable_lines_version6_file_format/ Python Version: https://github.com/ricklupton/rmscene Go Implementation: https://github.com/ddvk/reader

is there a way to bring in support here?

I really don't wanna nag that much, however not being able to sync files is kind of a deal breaker....

You can sync files fine, it's just exporting with rmfakecloud that wont work.

@nemunaire this should probably be linked to from the readme for the message about notebooks not being renderable.

Yes, I keep the note that indicate the rendering is not supported: "For Tablet SW > 3.X, rendering of the notebooks is not yet supported."

Do you think I should rephrase or include a link to this issue or precise the compatibility is given for file synchronization only? How do you see things?

I think just adding a link to this issue is enough
