It has proven in the past, that changes to XML Schemas can be somehow difficult.
Instead I suggest to remove the codelists for Country Codes and Mime Types from XML Schema and instead apply them on the Schematron level. Schematron rules are easier to change and can be part of the Connector release. XSDs are also relevant for the communication between DE/DR and DO/DT meaning that Member States are affected.
