you should be able to remove it in /etc/apt/sources.list.d
but it sounds like you're being man in the middled which is why the cert is invalid
"didn't work" isn't a bug report -- you need to describe what you ran what you tried and what you saw
There seems to be something wrong as every time I do a sudo update it gets interrupted with this error message.

I'm unable to remove the repository and reinstall it either.
