`add-apt-repository ppa:deadsnakes/ppa` timing out? #277

Not sure this is the right place for this, but when I run

add-apt-repository ppa:deadsnakes/ppa

the command hangs with no output (with or without -d) for over 15 mins - I gave up after that.

https://launchpad.net/~deadsnakes/+archive/ubuntu/ppa is also down for me currently.
